Computational Social Science Student Poster Session

Co-sponsored by CSSI, DACSS, and SBS-AI

Who:  Any graduate or undergraduate student associated with UMass Amherst who would like to present their work related to computational social science.

Date and Time: May 8, 2026, 9:00 am–11:30 am
Location: Integrative Learning Center (ILC), Room S311

Why:  Present your work to a broader audience, receive feedback from faculty beyond their own classes, and engage with peers and visitors interested in current developments in computational social science.

Poster Topics:
We invite posters on topics related to computational social science, broadly defined, including but not limited to statistical and computational methods and their applications, artificial intelligence, social networks, text-as-data, machine learning, and their broader impact on society and the future of work.

Students interested in presenting a poster should RSVP here by May 1 (and see additional details noted on the form).

This event continues the tradition of the CSSI-DACSS joint poster session first launched in Spring 2024, to showcase student research and creative work in computational social science and to foster conversation across programs, methods, and topics. If you are a student, please consider participating, and if you know students who may be interested, please forward!
